Alan Doyle brings the Already Dancing run across North America

Alan Doyle, Great Big Sea’s legendary frontman, is bringing his Newfoundland spirit back to North American stages. A folk-rock icon known for storytelling, he remains a staple of Canadian music.

The Already Dancing Tour starts February 27, 2026, in St. John’s. Alan Doyle & The Beautiful Beautiful Band will be joined by The East Pointers in Canada and Bandits on the Run in the United States. Major stops include Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and New York.

This run promotes the Already Dancing EP and the single "Nancy." It’s a bold new step for the songwriter. While no 2026 festival appearances are confirmed, these theater dates will be unforgettable.

About Alan Doyle

Alan Doyle (born May 17, 1969 in Petty Harbour, Newfoundland) is a Canadian folk-rock singer-songwriter and actor, best known as frontman of Great Big Sea. His style blends Celtic, sea shanties and energetic East Coast folk with rock. Popular songs include “Ordinary Day” and “When I’m Up (I Can’t Get Down)” with Great Big Sea. As a solo artist he released the album Welcome Home in February 2024; his latest single is “Hey Moon (A Campfire Song)” (April 2025). Nominated many times for JUNO Awards, Doyle is also a Member of the Order of Canada and the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador. Notable collaborators include Russell Crowe, Jimmy Rankin, Donovan Woods and Oscar Isaac.
